APT Assessment

  • What is The APT?

It's an online, AI generated, adaptive, multiple-choice assessment, much like the CAT4 or ISEB Pre-Test. The assessment covers 4 subjects: Maths, English, Verbal Reasoning and Non-Verbal Reasoning. The test takes just over an hour and is done at home. The test will produce a Standardised Age Score, which allows you to compare your child's academic ability against a national average.

  • Why The APT?

APT was developed to help families get the best understanding of their child's academic ability using an assessment that can be taken at home. They work with a range of experts, from former headteachers to assessment specialists, to ensure they get an accurate picture of a child's academic ability and potential. They have access to Atom Learning's assessment bank so it really ties in with the assessment system that many schools use.

Not only does the assessment give a standardised score, but it also gives a detailed break down of how a child has performed in the different topics for each test.

  • How does it work?

You are sent a link to the assessment which your child completes under exam conditions. The results are then sent to School Sense. We then have a 45-minute meeting to discuss the results of the test and any next steps.

The cost for the assessment and the meeting is £200.
